A complex assembly and test line is currently being put into operation at teamtechnik for coronavirus diagnostic products. In recent decades the company, specializing in automation, has built up a major business segment in medical technology. A focal point here is on POCT products - rapid tests that can be used directly in clinics or practices to enable laboratory diagnostics at the point of care.

The lines are humming at the moment with inquiries. ‘The demand to provide capacity for assembly and test lines for diagnostic products is immense and urgent. We are receiving inquiries from both Germany and beyond’, reports Frank Hack, who is responsible for the medtech division at teamtechnik as its managing director. The specialists at the company are now examining the feasibility of these inquiries, since the delivery times are highly ambitious, given the current demand for test products.

teamtechnik offers partially and fully-automated assembly solutions. The advantage in this is that everything is supplied from a single provider: assembly and testing systems, software, feeder and palletizing systems and qualification. The result is reliable interfacing at all levels.
