Freiberg-based teamtechnik Is a Top Employer in Germany

For the ninth year in a row, teamtechnik has been awarded the "Top Employer Germany" seal by the Top Employers Institute. The independent jury honored the employee-oriented workplace culture of the automation specialists with a family-friendly work-life balance. Based in Freiberg am Neckar, Germany, the company is a technology leader in the e-mobility, battery, photovoltaics and medical technology sectors.

Freiberg, January 2023. teamtechnik develops and implements automated assembly and functional test systems for high-tech products. The company was founded in 1976 and is regarded internationally as a "hidden champion." Since 2021, the automation specialist has been part of the international Dürr Group. With some 1,100 employees, seven production sites and 13 service locations, teamtechnik maintains a global presence for production, assembly and servicing its production systems. The company's headquarters and largest site is Freiberg am Neckar, with more than 550 employees.

 

Strong team spirit with plenty of flexibility

"We are delighted with the award from the Top Employers Institute, as it helps us to be noticed as an attractive, future-proof employer by potential employees and professionals. Even here in the Stuttgart area, a lot of people still aren't familiar with us," said Stefan Carstensen, the CFO at teamtechnik. He added: "At teamtechnik, we engage with our employees’ potential. There’s a strong team spirit with plenty of flexibility." Another aspect of the teamtechnik corporate culture is a flexible working hours model that includes the option of working at home.

 

Working for the future

With its focus on production systems for medical technology, e-mobility, battery technology and photovoltaics, teamtechnik is active in dynamic growth markets. Almost half of its revenue can be classified as green under the EU taxonomy for sustainable economic activities. Environmentally sensitive production is also a declared objective of the company's daily activities. Visible signs of this at the Freiberg site include the photovoltaic systems on the roofs of the production halls and the in-house charging station for e-vehicles with over 30 charging points. As Stefan Carstensen said: "Today, many people are looking for an employer whose values and goals they can identify with. Sustainability plays a major role here – not as an ecological component alone, but also in terms of social responsibility." According to Stefan Carstensen, these are all qualities that prospective employees can find at teamtechnik. "At the Freiberg site, we’re always looking for people who are willing to take on responsibility and want to be involved with the sustainability themes of the future," he stressed.

 

The accolade of "Top Employer" is one of the most important certifications for any employer. It is bestowed for a period of one year. The certification is based on an audit of six dimensions and 20 areas within HR. The top seal is given to companies with a long-term commitment to a healthy and powerful workplace culture.
