Hard-wired programmed logic controller

Basic motor circuits, commissioning, VDE measurements

The hard-wired programmed logic controller module, based on basic electrical knowledge, teaches the reading and creation of circuit diagrams in exploded view and the corresponding identification of electrical equipment. Trainees are instructed in basic circuits such as self-retaining, mutual interlocking circuits, etc., and learn to draw them by hand or using software.

Several motor circuits are developed and the structure and selection of various fuses such as LSS, NEOZED, DIAZED, NH and motor protection switches are discussed, analysed and implemented in practical applications. Subsequently, the structure and function of electrical equipment such as electric motors, motor protection relays, opto-coupling relays, etc. are explained theoretically and applied practically by the trainees.

An essential point here is also the correct cable layout procedure, as well as the significance of the different colours of the individual wires in control cabinet construction.

The aim is for the trainees to be able to set up basic motor circuits in 230V/400V and independently handle their commissioning and VDE measurements.
